"I want to do a session in a cotton field," is were it all began! That's what this class of 2014 High School Senior mentioned during our pre consult. Wow did that get my imagination going...I have dreamed of it as well but we live on the coast...not so much cotton readily available. OHHH...but wait...I live in the south! I have family out in the country not too far away...they know many farmers!

Well, long story short, cotton is a tricky crop and not so popular around here this year for a number of reasons. Then to be able to capture it right when it opens and before it is harvested is no easy task...unless you live ON the farm. I don't. My client does not. So after lots of searching, an old family farm with overgrown fields and rustic barns scattered about was used. LOVED it. 

We hauled an iron bed, wood slats for the bed, an air mattress, a battery charged air pump, clothes, linens, you name it...oh, did I forget to mention we had to carry it all about 400 yards or more? Yeah...the motto "Keep it Simple" did not apply here but man was it worth it.
