Sister and Brother Playful Photo Shoot | Wilmington NC Photographer

Keeping in line with my logo...the tree you see on all my advertising....has great meaning to me. I love trees...especially great big ones that span yards across. So, naturally my favorite place to shoot kids and families as well as visit is in this amazing tree grove that is between the ocean and river mouth not far from my home. The trees, the light, the air...I just love it..and so do most kids and their parents when I bring them here to "play".

I often take my own children here to play as well...at low tide, on the ocean side we can see and touch anemones in the rocks. We can witness, touch, and curl up in the majestic oaks that have been growing there for ages, withstanding the fierce environment coastal life can bring.

I spent a great deal of time at this location "working" this year...and didn't get to just "visit" as much. I also never seem to have photos of my own two children together...so in an attempt to capture the coveted sibling photo and enjoy my favorite place we headed out.

On this particular day in fall, I casually got my kids out the door, had the camera ready and dressed them as similar as I could. I figured if I get some shots, great...if not, we will at least have fun. It was noon by the time we got there and that is the most challenging time of day for outdoor portraiture. But thanks to my favorite place and the shade created by those majestic trees, we had fun, played hide and seek, ran, jumped, and even got some photos.

Hope you enjoy these photos of "my story".
