I had the chance to spend a rainy Saturday at Aunt Kerry's Pet Stop in Wilmington, NC with one of the adoption teams from R.A.C.E. (Rescue Animals Community Effort). While there, of course, I got to photograph these beautiful dogs available for adoption. There was "Katy"...a reserved older girl with much wisdom behind her serious face. Then "Lola"...who reminded me a little of the dog that played "Winn Dixie" in the movie...she was ready to play...out in the rain or in your yard...her face just said, "I am ready for fun and love, maybe even and adventure." Finally, the pups...a mixed little bunch of 5 week old black babies snuggled together for naps. When awake, they were practicing their indoor "skills" by using the provided pee-pee pads and offering kisses galore.
