Remember my last post about photos at The Veggie Wagon? How I used it as a backdrop for a shoot and fell in love with their amazing ice cream "Wagon Wheels"...well.......I have been about to bust waiting to share these photos with everyone!

I was asked a few weeks ago if I would be interested in shooting the summer fashion spread for our local arts and entertainment publication, Encore. I was soooo excited to do this...models, amazing clothes from local shops, hair and makeup done...nervous to do so but totally wanting to go for it, I accepted the job!

I was given full freedom in setting up the shoot but unsure of what all the local, diverse shops would be sending our way.  I opted to utilize my new favorite store for a fun backdrop, The Veggie Wagon,  and my favorite place on earth...trees, beach, amazing light and green grass...The Fort Fisher Museum property, nearby beach and tree groves. I hope you like the results...and get out to the local shops to get some of these cool looks as well as check out the great places in our own town that these images were photographed in! Enjoy!

Shops represented: Aqua Fedora (30 N. Front St. and 1900 Eastwood Rd. #40); Bijuju (868 Inspiration Dr.); Bloke (1427 Military Cutoff Rd. #101); CB Surf Shop (209 S. Lake Park Blvd.); Coastal Kicks (201 N. 2nd St.); Coastal Urge (6866 Main St.); Edge of Urge (18 Market St.); Gentlemen’s Corner (1900 Eastwood Rd. #24); Lure (2 N. Front St.); Momentum Surf and Skate Shop (5 N. Front St.); Palm Garden (6804 Main St.); Redix (120 Causeway Dr.); Sweetwater Surf Shop (10 N. Lumina Ave.); Tickled Pink (1904 Eastwood Rd. #106); and Torri/Bell (1125 Military Cutoff Rd.).

Oh, and a special shout out must go to my dad for saving the final series of shots...we had it planned to use a really cool old red Ford pick up truck from a family in the Suncoast Cruisers Car Club....but as is the case sometimes with old cars/tucks, it had some issues at the last minute. Fortunately, my dad has a red Ford Falcon and he was able to make the shoot at the 11th hour, literally!
